Bimetallic Ru–Pd supported on CeO2 for the catalytic partial oxidation of methane into syngas

A series of monometallic Ru, Pd, and bimetallic Ru–Pd catalysts loaded on CeO2 support have been prepared via mechanochemical conventional incipient wetness impregnation methods used in the partial oxidation methane (POM) to obtain synthesis gas (H2 CO). The influence preparation method, order addition metals, Ru:Pd metal ratio, milling energy time for samples by evaluated between 300 600 °C. results revealed that Ru–Pd/CeO2 outperform Ru–CeO2 Pd–CeO2 POM, both terms catalytic activity stability. Additionally, ball produced syngas at a much lower temperature compared impregnation. Raman spectroscopy, programmed reduction (H2–TPR), X–ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) high–resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) characterize before after reaction.
